Apostle Brian Pruitt was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, the sixth of seven children. He was nurtured in a strong spiritual foundation by his parents, Robert Pruitt Sr. and Barbara Blair, who pastored Bethel Temple Church of Christ Holiness USA. It was through their ministry that Brian was saved and later baptized by his father. During his teenage years, Brian began sensing the call of God on his life, but it was on January 11, 1998, in Mackenbach, Germany, at the age of 21, that he fully surrendered to the call and began walking in his divine assignment.

In 1999, Brian served faithfully as a worship leader for seven years at Refreshing Waters Worship Center in Kansas City, Missouri, where his prophetic sound and devotion to God’s presence continued to mature.

In 2004, Brian met his beautiful gift, Shanika, and in 2005, they were joined in covenant as husband and wife. In 2007, following a word from the Lord, Brian, Shanika, and their two children—Marquis and Donnika—moved to Columbus, Ohio. This Abraham‑and‑Sarah‑style step of faith marked a turning point where God began unveiling His greater plan for their lives.

On December 31, 2007, Brian and Shanika were ordained by Apostles CJ and Lanita Gaul at Living Word Worship Center. They served as the Prophets of the House, Associate Pastors, and Youth Pastors. That same night, the Lord released them to begin their ministry, Elisha’s House — The Online Church.
In 2009, they were affirmed to the office of Apostle, and on September 7, 2010, they officially changed the ministry’s name to New Wind International, planting it in Brian’s hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
 

In 2012 he founded New Wind International, a dynamic ministry marked by faith, supernatural encounters, and the tangible presence of God. He also established The Prophetic Worship School, a transformative training experience focused on the foundational principles of prophetic worship, complete with teaching, live demonstration, and activation. On January 29, 2015, Brian released his debut EP, Songs in the Key of Faith, followed by Songs in the Key of Faith, Vol. 2 in 2019. He is also the co‑author of Thoughts From The Man Cave, written with his friend and visionary partner, Dr. Barbara McClain.

In 2024, he started The Apostle’s Network, a safe and sacred place where Senior Pastors can be refreshed, restored, rejuvenated, and recharged by the Spirit of God. Apostle Brian Pruitt is a man of God called to the nations, carrying a unique mandate to release a fresh prophetic sound in the earth through prophetic worship and revelatory teaching. He is the founder of New Wind International, a dynamic ministry marked by faith, supernatural encounters, and the tangible presence of God.
